A patina comes about through a combination of manipulating the surface of mild steel and applying a solution(s) that force a rapid oxidation of the steel surface. Each steel piece that is patinated is unique and an artistic phenomenon. Kason Groups “Oxy” patinas create a wide range of colors which include deep yellows, dark reds and penetrating blue/ greens.
